I'm not sure I've ever looked forward to a year like I'm looking forward to 2012. On the personal note, I've just gotten engaged, so I'm planning a wedding, and we're expecting our first child (a girl) in June. That alone will make this a great year!

But you probably don't care about all of that. You're here for the videos, and you want to know what you can expect from MyPod over the next few months. Well, we have a lot planned:

New content. Clearly, we didn't do the best job of keeping the content up to date toward the end of 2011. But that's about to change. We currently have over 2,000 hours of new content just waiting to be added to the network, with more content being added to the queue all the time. Our goal is to have brand new videos to offer each day, to keep the site fresh and exciting.

When enough years have passed, you can look back at them and recognize that each year has its own personality. I mean that for the world in general, and on an individual level. That’s partly why I’m conflicted about seeing 2011 go. On the one hand, it wasn’t exactly a banner year in the history of the planet – war, famine, upheaval, the price of a paperclip (anyone know what movie I’m referencing?) it seemed like bad news was waiting for us at every turn. Clearly, from that perspective, everyone should have breathed a sigh of relief when the ball finally dropped.
