MyPod Studios has barely been up and running for four months, and most of that time has been spent setting up the database, gathering the content, hiring the right employees, and making sure this crazy site actually works. We've just started marketing it and driving traffic - more than expected, but barely enough at this point to be considered a driving force in the world of online entertainment. Still, though, for some reason, that hasn't stopped me from making an almost uncountable number of changes to just about everything on the entire network.
In the last two weeks alone, we've launched our new Home page, and then set right about updating and revising it. The landing pages, which haven't even been made public yet, have gone through at least three evolutions in the past five days, and we're planning a complete restructuring of our database and administrative functionality to make the entire network faster and easier to use.
Clearly, there's something in all of us that always strives for better. Facebook continues to make radical changes to its interface. Google + has already made some significant changes while still in beta testing, and my is always on the prowl for someone more talented to do her hair. Technology is especially vulnerable to the whims of programmers and designers who are on not only on a constant binder to improve functionality, but are also obsessed with achieving an increased level of cool.
So my point: enjoy MyPod Studios...but get ready for some big changes!
